Why is the church called “Išgelbėjimo Šviesa”?
The church “Išgelbėjimo Šviesa” (“Light of Salvation”) was founded in Klaipėda in 1995. We belong to the Lithuanian Union of Evangelical Faith Christians (LRETKS, Pentecostals), which consists of 24 congregations. The first Pentecostal church in Lithuania was founded in 1918. The Union is a member of the World Assemblies of God Fellowship (World Assemblies of God Fellowship).
Why “Išgelbėjimo Šviesa”? The Bible says:
“I am the light of the world. He who follows me will not walk in the darkness, but will have the light of life.”

Salvation can be received only through faith in Jesus Christ (not by works), and that is why we proclaim this way of salvation, Christ, to the world.
